Hello love's! Welcome to my world of caking and cake decorating!

It's been a glorious 7 years and in our birthday month (February), I decided to gift the business with a proper website designed by yours truly. Enough about that...who is the beautiful lady?

Nontobeko Balungile Nkhoesa is a qualified Mathematics and Accounting teacher who is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Business management. She is about 97% self-taught but has qualified with a Masters in Cake Decorating from PME and has attended workshops nationally and still continues to do so as, she believes in life-long learning. It all started out as just watching 'Cake Boss' during her summer holidays awaiting her final results, and now she has managed to turn her passion into a much-loved business that prides itself in service excellence and serving delicious treats.

The business has kept myself and the team rather entertained. Milk spills at 2am topped with 'heads-up' games. Spending 35 hours with no sleep working on the first cake order to forgetting one of the side cakes for a wedding at home (luckily the venue was 15 mins from home). I owe my life to my parents, husband and team. My cousins, Andile and Sibusisiwe have suffered the most but kept coming back every time for the next order (PANEL VAN anyone? hehee!) My loving parents (sometimes kitchen staff), my husband (the designated driver, photographer, collector ...anything really) and the team - thank you! I've cried with you all, stressed, given up and gained strength in the same breath with you.You have literally been dipped in flour and decorated in the crazy-beautiful world of my business. I love you all so much and thank you again- I wouldn't have made it this far without you! (I figure my MASTER CAKE DECORATOR OF THE YEAR speech is ready...now all i need is the award).

This business has taught me patience, resilience, strength, love and commitment among many other lessons (when i set up the blog- bring tissue to wipe tears of laughter). But, the most important thing it has shown me is love from those who have supported me in my family and my customers.  BHi Humble is nothing without the customers and we thank you for putting up with us thus far- we ain't going anywhere hehe. Thank you, thank you.

 

Moving into the future, with you, we hope to keep raising the bar and improving our skills to provide only the best.
